Here it is almost a month since my last post. Sorry about that. I have two paint jobs to share, and a count update. First the more boring of the things to share, my bedroom wall has a new addition. It is a fourth polish rack. Dear lord what have I become.
That is just over 200 bottles of polish. I swear I don't have a problem. ; n;
Anyway for new year I did a fireworks themed paint job and I was not thrilled with it but it was still fun.
The fireworks designs were done with acrylic art paint and the base color I am sad to say I have forgotten the brand and color of polish. Shame on me.
And finally something I tried a couple days ago. Interlocking dots!
Interlocking dots are super fun and pretty easy to do. I messed these up before I had a chance to clean them up completely but at least I got one picture even if they are messy as heck (even by my standards). The colors here were Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet and Lacy Lilac.
Sometime around the 8th of next month I will have another bit of nail art to share. Hopefully I can pull it off without too many flubs. Later today, or maybe Tuesday I will have another post ready, hopefully.
Happy Painting!

Sick again, and seasons suck.
So here I sit day one of being sick yet again. So not cool. Also my Seasonal Affective is kicking in pretty seriously. ALSO we had snow this morning. Snow in the first week of November is nearly unheard of here. Even if only a light dusting. So I went out in my sandals and took some pictures of the snow like the crazy person I am even though I was/am sick.
It was the really sticky kind of snow, because when I got up it was 33 degrees so things were getting melty.
AS FOR POLISH. I had some mail arrive last week. And thanks to it I was painting like crazy.
These are what I tend to do my "personal reference swatches" on. But since 200 of them arrived (as per my order) I may try using them for a bit of nail art practice.
And today I did some counting and not counting clear top/base/treatment polishes I haaaaaave:
153 bottles of polish! Kinda crazy for me to come to this realization as I have only been buying them since about this time last year. I don't even want to do the math on how much all that cost me.....
Later today I'll be posting actual nail polish photos instead of this post which is more of an "update I still am alive, barely" post. However before I leave and post this I want to throw in the nails I had on Halloween day:
It's "spooky eyes in the shadows" or "Miyazaki Soot Sprites" depending on the interpretation. Cute, simple and fast. Using Revlon Brilliant Strength Beguile as a base and eyes' pupils. Also using SinfulColors Snow Me White for the eyes' whites.
And that's all I have for you right now. I really need to take a nap. Tah-tah and happy painting!

Because I am slightly crazy...
I made a spreadsheet listing my nail polishes, and only those with color, as in no clear top/base coats or nail treatments. However I did include my Matte top coat.
The list.
Not huge but still... most of my friends kinda see my polish collection, beautifully displayed in racks on my wall, and inform me I have far too much of the stuff. My reply is generally "No such thing as too much!"
Here are two pictures of my display:

Here are two pictures of my display:
This Has My Sally Hansen's, Top & Base Coats, Treatments, and my Mom's Mary Kay Polishes
And this one is my Pure Ice, Klean Color, Sinful Colors, and Revlon Polishes (And my one OPI polish)
Yep, there they all are. And I love them all.
The Pure Ice polishes are all around $2 a bottle with the crackles having been found on Ebay for 17 dollars for the 8 bottles, they used to retail at about $4 , but to my knowledge are not on the market anymore. I was thrilled to see them on ebay and for less than original retail!
The Klean Color polishes can be bought on the company's web site for about $3.50 each, however once again I got them on ebay for a steal. The metallics were the 12 bottles for $16s including shipping making them around $1.40 each! The chunky holos were more though at $17 for 9 holos and the matte top coat (so 10 bottles). Making them around $1.70 each.
My Sally Hansen polishes were all bought full retail price at WalMart or RiteAid, same with my Sinful Colors and Revlon polishes. they all range form 2 dollars a bottle to 6 dollars a bottle.
The one OPI I have I got on Amazon for about 5 dollars. It is an awesome color and the price was right. I'm glad I got it.
So. How much have I spent on polish in the last six months?
Well over $100 dollars. When I put a price on them it makes me go "oh god I can't believe I have spent that much!" but in the long run I will enjoy them for potentially years to come. Which to me makes them totally worth the pricetag.
